New-York: V.G. Audubon, 1854. In three volumes. Second octavo edition. 8vo. viii, 383, (1); (iv), 334; (ii), 348 pp. Half-titles in each volume. Illustrated with 155 hand-colored lithographic plates by J.T. Bowen, from drawings on the stone by William E. Hitchcock and R. Trembley, after drawings by J.J. and J.W. Audubon (with tissue guards; some torn and dampstained). Contemporary full brown morocco, elaborately stamped in blind, spine titled in gilt, joints and extremities rubbed; all edges gilt; front hinge split, binding from text block in each volume; scattered minor foxing and soiling to text and plates; light offsetting from plates; bottom of front blank in second volume torn away.
