Lot Description
Philadelphia: B. Franklin, no date (1735). First edition. 8vo. 16 (of 24) pp. (lacking pp. 17-24). Illustrated with woodcut anatomical man. Limp printed self-wrappers, stab sewn, first leaf worn and soiled, loss at bottom left edge and along fore-edge of same (with some loss to text on second page); approximately 2 1/2 in. closed tear along third page, traversing woodcut; light dampstaining in gutter of most leaves; scattered minor spotting and soiling; a few singe marks on final leaf; contemporary ownership signature on title-page; year written in ink at bottom of eighth page; in clamshell case.
