In 16 volumes. #161/750 numbered sets of the large-paper edition, signed by Koizumi Setsuko, Hearn's second wife, in Japanese characters and with her red seal, on a tipped-in leaf of japon vellum. Although uncalled for, a single leaf of manuscript of Hearn's is also tipped in. 8vo. Publisher's deluxe binding of quarter japon vellum over green silk jacquard-covered boards, some spotting to spines, dent in top edge of front board in volumes 6-10, tidemark to bottom of spine on volumes 13-16 (affecting silk on Volume 16); top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed; printed decorative endpapers; each volume in linen dust-jacket, stamped in gilt; book-plate of Samuel Crawford Gillespie on verso of first free leaf in Volume 12 only.
