Scarce autograph letter, signed by Burke to Stephen Thurston Adey, a London banker whom Burke patronized, concerning a financial matter: "My Dear Adey,/I suppose you have already/had a Bill drawn on your home from Wm./Smettel at Bath for twenty five pound/on my account. I beg you to honour it..."; mounted to card; creasing from original folds; docketed on verso. Lot includes an engraved portrait of Burke.
