Three-quarter green levant, stamped in gilt, over marbled paper-covered boards, spines and extremities browned, scattered minor wear and rubbing to boards and joints, scattered minor chipping to spine ends, rear joint of Volume 9 largely split, bottom rear joint of Volume 31 cracked; top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed; front free endpaper folded over and creased in Volume 9, rear endpaper of same sprung, short closed tear at top edge of rear blanks in same; 3 in. closed tear at fore-edge of pp. 65/66 in Volume 14, horizontal tear traversing entire leaf of pp. 241/242 in same; pp. 57-60 sprung in Volume 25; horizontal tear traversing entire leaf of pp.563/564 in Volume 31; 2 1/2 in. closed tear at fore-edge of pp. 245-48 in Volume 36; book-plate on front paste-down of each volume.
