Lot Description

Group of five assorted patriotic works late 19th to 20th/21st century

Comprising a calligraphic memorial sketch for a U.S.N. sailor, with a handrawn mat surrounding a photograph of Joseph V. Dins, inscribed "U.S.N./ Joseph V. Dins/ United Spanish War Veteran", a painted Inter-Collegiate Athletic Association Championship award, dated "1889" and inscribed "Won by DALE" along with the various individuals and their athletic event; a print of the Humanity Flag; a 48-Star American flag printed with the Winchester Rifles logo and slogan as well as a Dakins Sporting Goods, Waterville, ME advertisement, late 20th century; and a reproduction "Clean Play" 48-Star American Flag with a photograph of child mounted to canton, signed to mat, l.r., late 20th/21st century; all framed.
