First edition. 8vo. 596; 539 pp. Full contemporary calf, worn, stamped in blind, black leather spine labels, largely perished; sprinkled edges; light scattered foxing to text; contemporary ownership signature of Samuel Hotchkin on front board of each volume, his name also rubber-stamped on first free leaf of each volume. Old bookseller's blindstamp ("Underhill & Alverson, Canandaigua, N.Y.") on front free endpaper of each volume.
