France, July 13, 1812. Partially printed document, signed by Napoleon at bottom, authorizing the ship "Le Jeune Cornelis" to dock in Amsterdam, for the transport of rice, gold, silver, and other goods; counter-signed by four other French officials at bottom, imperial seal blindstamped at same. 19 x 13 1/2 in. (482 x 342 mm). Creasing from original folds, reinforced on verso with tape; repaired 1 1/2 in. (38 mm) closed tear bottom left; toning along left edge and center fold recto.
