No place, no date. Cut signature, signed by First Lady Elizabeth Monroe; excised from a letter and mounted to card. 1 3/4 x 4 7/8 in. (44 x 123 mm). Lot includes postcard portrait of James Monroe. Very rare, few examples of her signature exist.
