The box bearing the printed label, "Foster & Barton...Manufacturers No. 213, Washington Street Boston," accompanied by note, "Great Grandmother A.J. Phillips small trunk and mourning bags," includes a number of "bits" of identified family hair; two printed menus; carte de visites and ferrotype of Mrs. Anna Jones Phillips late in life; a mourning ring for Mrs. Phillips in box; a box of "imitation collars"; a small box of tiny tintypes; mourning stationery; a box with a horse shoe charm; a receipt for a Chickering Piano,1846; G.A.R. reunion ribbons and brass buttons; folding spectacles in a leather case; seven brass Cavalry military buttons with mark of D. Evans & Co.; two brass military rosettes for horse halter; a group of military coat buttons from the Spanish-American War, Attleboro; a collection of Naval buttons marked Waterbury Button Co.; a small Ambrotype of a young girl identified as Alice Elizabeth Tregren (1847-1926), Manchester, N.H; and a small Ambrotype of a young man identified as Augustus Baker Pierce (1840-1919), "shortly before he sailed for China in the Oriental in 1859"; and three black mourning reticules.
