The first a French or British steel-mounted burlwood and hardwood single-shot shotgun cane, twist release to breech, the steel collar rotating to release trigger, with modern rubber ferrule over muzzle, apparently unmarked; the second a French steel-mounted carved horn and malacca single-shot shotgun cane, twist release to breech, with push-button trigger, with modern rubber ferrule over muzzle, the breech marked "DUMONTHIER."
