A Bete mask Cote d'Ivoire

Carved wood, of powerful construction and exhibiting a combination of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic features, with a bulbous forehead above a series of six raised tusk-like flanges decorated with inset brass tacks, the mouth protruding, raised on a bespoke mount.
