Lot Description

A Chinese enameled porcelain ruby-ground "medallion" bowl Daoguang six-character seal mark and of the period

The exterior with four roundals enclosing floral and fruiting sprays, against a deep raspberry ground with dense sgrafitto scrolls punctuated by symmetrical stylized floral and lotus scrolls, the interior decorated in underglaze blue with a central basket of flowers, the cavetto with four sprays of flowers, lingzhi and pomegranate.
