Lot Description

Two Chinese silk embroidered panels Qing dynasty, 19th century or earlier

The first, finely executed, depicting a celebratory procession, leading a successful scholar, Kueixing behind, all on a navy blue silk ground, later embroidered butterfly, peony and foliate border; the second, depicting a mounted scholar with attendants in a landscape, birds and butterflies above, the yellow borders with Daoist imortals and flowers (2).
