Lot Description

A Japanese mixed metal-inlaid and patinated bronze vase, Jomi Eisuke II (1839-1899) Meiji period

With attenuated neck and stylized garlic-bulb mouth, compressed circular base, inlaid with a single omadaka spray and foliage, retaining the original rich chestnut-brown patina to the ground, underside with artist's seal. For another vase with similar decoration, see the example sold at Christie's London, May 18, 2012, lot 11.
