Lot Description

[Poetry] Brooke, Rupert Autograph Letter, signed

One page, dated January 13, (1913), to an unknown recipient alerting them of his sudden plans to go to London in two days time. He explains that presently he's on his way to his mother's home in Rugby and asks to be written to in care of his friend--and later, literary executor--Edward Marsh where, presumably, he would be staying while in London. Approximately 7 x 4 1/2 inches. On "1, Cloisters, Temple, E.C." letterhead. In frame with frontispiece portrait of Brooke from "The Collected Poems of Rupert Brooke," New York, 1915, the whole measuring 14 1/2 x 18 inches.
