New York: George H. Doran Company, (1924). First American edition, first issue. 8vo. (ii), 347, (3) pp. Inscribed by Wodehouse to his bibliographer and biographer David A. Jasen on front free endpaper: "To/David/from/Plum/P.G. Wodehouse." Original blue cloth-covered boards, spine darkened and soiled, front and rear boards soiled, stamped in dark blue; all edges trimmed; small area of dampstaining at top edge of most text leaves, short closed tear in gutter of pp. 11/12, 2-in. closed tear at bottom edge of pp. 289/290; original illustrated dust-jacket (with $2.00 price on spine, but with 11 titles on front flap and eight titles on rear flap), tape repairs to verso, soiled and worn.
