[Wodehouse, P.G.] Kern, Jerome, and Oscar Hammerstein II Show Boat
London, etc., 1928. 4to. 229, 3 (ads) pp. Vocal score. Inscribed on title-page: "With kindest/regards and best/wishes to George,/Oscar Hammerstein". Laid in is a carbon copy of a typed letter to Hammerstein from George Enzinger, dated December 29, 1949; photocopy of a two-page T.L.s to Hammerstein from Enzinger, dated September 21, 1937, related to Hammerstein’s then project, the making of the film, The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle (1939); photocopy of a T.L.s to Hammerstein from Saul Bornstein’s secretary referencing two songs mentioned in the previous letter. Original illustrated stiff wrappers, text disbound, Chappel & Co. Ltd. rubber stamp on title page. Enclosed in [presumably] Enzinger’s tooled leather folding book cover.
