An agreement documenting the dissolution of a prior agreement between The Western Union Telegraph Company, The American Union Telegraph Company, and Jay Gould for the leasing of certain telegraph wires and traffic. Affixed to a 1pp. note from A. R. Brewer to John Van Horne, stating that he is sending the attached document for Horne's files, dated May 16, 1883. 3. Document, signed. New York: January 17, 1887. 1 pp. typed on legal size paper, attached to pink paper backing with a metal clasp at top edge, signed by Jay Gould and Charles F. Penzel. An agreement in which Gould notes his intention to obtain a foreclosure on his property, for which he will be paid $9,500.
