Contemporary full mottled calf, decoratively stamped in gilt, red morocco spine label, boards blistered, small nick to front board, joints slightly rubbed, spine slightly blistered and chipped; edges speckled red; pp. xxxix-xlii slightly proud; scattered minor spotting to text; book-plate of John Ward on front paste-down, and with his intials on recto of preliminary ad leaf; additional book-plate of Arnold Muirhead on front paste-down.
