Contrary to the implication in your letter, I assure you that in my opinion the members of your profession make a valuable contribution to our way of life. As a matter of fact, I have long advocated that everybody, to do better work and to live a full life, ought to have some fun every day -- and you, and your associates in the entertainment world, help make that possible. Again my gratitude for your note. Sincerely, Dwight D. Eisenhower." Framed with an engraved portrait of Eisenhower, unexamined out of frame.
