Presentation copy, inscribed by Shelley's son Percy Florence Shelley to Ianthe Esdaile, Shelley's daughter by first wife Harriet Westbrook: "Ianthe Esdaile/from her affectionate brother/Percy F. Shelley/March 23, 1844." Engraved frontispiece in first volume. Original brown cloth, stamped in blind and in gilt, rebacked, boards lightly worn and sunned, some corners lightly worn; all edges trimmed; pale yellow endpapers; small paper losses to top edge of prelims in fourth volume, same volume unopened.
