Lot Description
[Sports] [Baseball] [Ruth, Babe] Signed 1939 World's Fair Guest Card
3 x 5 in. Teal-gray card printed in navy blue and silver. Guest card, presumably for entrance into the National Advisory Committee Building at the 1939 New York World's Fair. The card is filled out in black ink to Arthur Schurtzer of Brooklyn, N.Y. and signed by baseball legend Babe Ruth, all in Ruth's hand. "Received" is rubber-stamped in blue ink on the recto and there are two pin holes in the upper left corner of same, presumably left by a now-departed staple. A fine example of the card and a bold and still very bright signature of the Babe.
