[Literature] (Whitman, Walt) Two Rivulets; Including Democratic Vistas, Centennial Songs, and Passage to India
Camden, New Jersey: Author's edition, 1876. First edition, second printing. 8vo. Inscribed by Whitman on what appears to be the original front free endpaper from the original binding, "Mrs Charles Hine/ from her friend/ the author." Additionally signed by Whitman on albumen portrait frontispeice, as issued. With an additional blank leaf between "As a Strong Bird on Pinions Free" and "Memoranda During War", not stated in BAL. Later full blue straight-grain morocco; stamped in gilt; top edge gilt, other edges trimmed; marbled endpapers. Small tears to top and bottom gutter of frontispeice leaf; chipping to gutter edge of albumen print; scattered chipping to fore-edge of text; several quires toned. BAL 21413.
