Frith, Francis (British, 1822-1898) Views of London

Bonnington's Carrageen or Irish Moss, ca. 1900. Unpaginated. Small oblong folio. Red pebbled leather stamped in gilt; light scattered foxing to prelims and tissue guards. Carbon prints on blue-base paper.

Album containing 16 prints depicting famous London landmarks (St. Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge, Piccadilly Cirucs, etc.) with printed captions pasted onto album pages advertising "Bonnington's Carrageen or Irish Moss". Bonnington's was a cough syrup invented and sold in Australia and New Zealand.
