Bruno Barbey joined Magnum Photos, a cooperative of documentary photographers, in 1964. He has photographed wars and covered conflicts in Nigeria, Vietnam, the Middle East, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Northern Ireland, Iraq and Kuwait. This photo was taken three years before Ayatollah Khomeini's death.
