William M. Rittase worked as a photographer in Philadelphia during the 1920s and 1930s, shooting images for advertisements and articles in Fortune magazine and other publications. This image, which depicts women inspecting parachutes at the Pioneer Parachute Company in Manchester, Connecticut, is credited to the Office of War Information.
