LEE MILLER (AMERICAN, 1907–1977) FASHION PHOTO FOR BERGDORF-GOODMAN

1933. Photographer's wetstamp and various ink and pencil annotations on verso and very faint red crayon marks on recto. Gelatin silver print.

Lee Miller was a fashion model in the 1920s before studying with Man Ray in Paris. In 1932 she returned to New York, where she set up a photo studio. She was also a World War II correspondent for Vogue.
