Rome, July 14, 1927, in strong dark ink. Together with: Typed Letter, signed, from the Italian Ambassador to the United States, responding to the original autograph request from January, 1924: "Premiere Mussolini has asked me to inform you that he highly appreciated the message sent him in the name of the students of Trenton...the national movement which has lately revived all Italy and is known as Fascismo loves and trusts youth...lately when Italy suffered in the grip of a few agitators who wanted to subject her to the rule of Bolshevism, the brave defenders of freedom and civilization who came to the rescue were mainly boys, college and high school boys like yourselves..." Additional T.L.s., dated 1927, informing the recipient "that His Excellency has consented to comply with your request..." Three years later...
