Contemporary pigskin, corners bumped, moderately scuffed; tooled in blind with pictorial central panels. The surviving 15 books (I-V, XI-XX) of the first century BC Greek Historian's immense Library of World History in 40 books. The last complete copy vanished in the sack of Constantinople in 1453. .
