[Early Printing] Siculus, Diodorus Biblithecae historicae libri XV, de XL
Hanoviae (Hanau): Wechelianis apud Claudium Marnium & haeredes Joannis Aubrii, 1604. Two volumes in one, each with a separate title-page. Folio. (32), 1-362, 63; (12), 1-1013, (1)pp. Greek and Latin text in parallel columns. With printer's device on each title-page and the blank verso of the last text leaf; apparently missing the colophon leaf. Contemporary pigskin, corners bumped, moderately scuffed; tooled in blind with pictorial central panels. The surviving 15 books (I-V, XI-XX) of the first century BC Greek Historian's immense Library of World History in 40 books. The last complete copy vanished in the sack of Constantinople in 1453. .
