Lot Description

A custom Danish sterling silver sixteen-piece flatware service for twelve with custom sideboard Georg Jensen and W. Pfeiffer, Copenhagen, circa 1933-1944

In the 'Acorn' pattern, comprising twelve each luncheon knives, dinner knives, dessert spoons, ice cream spoons, consommé spoons, tea spoons, salad forks, grapefruit spoons, seafood forks, fruit forks, and butter knives; eleven each fruit knives, dessert forks, demitasse spoons, iced tea spoons, and dinner forks; six each salt spoons, salts, and pepperettes; and thirteen various serving pieces, all double struck, engraved interlaced Ls for the VON PLATEN family of Sweden and Germany; all contained in a custom fitted stained wood sideboard of plain form commissioned under the auspices of Georg Jensen from W. Pfeifer.
