Lot Description

Five Japanese cloisonné cabinet vases Meiji/Taisho period

Comprising: an ovoid "Poppies" vase, with silver wires, sky-blue ground, underside with stamped maker's mark; a long-necked vase with crashing waves and seabirds, silver wires, grey-green ground; one of hexagonal vasiform with seagulls and crashing waves against a pale grey ground; a tapered vase of losenge section, decorated with egrets among iris in silver wire, yellow ground, lip with border of stylized swallows and blossoms; and an ovoid vase with lantern plant in silver wires against a rich cobalt blue ground.
