Painted and decorated patriotic octant case and octant Octant bears label of "F. Stoppani London," case bears retailer's
label of Charles Taber and Co., New Bedford, MA, circa 1855 Case decorated with a spreadwing eagle with bannerette inscribed, "Friendship Love and Truth (motto of the Odd Fellows)," above a shield and crossed American and American Union Jack marine flags, octant of ebony and brass with ivory scale and label.
