A George III sterling silver salver William Shard, London, 1819

Of shaped round form, the molded rim with acanthus decoration, the center engraved with scrolling foliate decoration and centering the arms of Powys of Westwood impaled with that of Birkett of Hadley above the motto "Parta Tueri" (Defend what you have won), on scrolling acanthus-form pad feet.
