Lot Description
An Indian carved buff sandstone head 11th/12th century
With arched eyebrows and full pursed lips, elaborately curled coiffure, the top of the head with a circular nimbus(?), foliate pattern behind, a line of lotus petals to the back of the head, mounted on later stand.
Approx. H: 6 3/8 in., 16.7cm
