Two rare souvenir medallions from the Navigazione A Vapore Del Lloyd Austriaco and the sinking of the S.S. San Francisco 1850 and 1854
The Italian medallion dated 1850; the American medallion inscribed "Testimonial to Captains Crighton, Low and Stouffer. Of the Ships Three Bells, Kilby, and Antarctic. From the Corporation of the City of Philadelphia. For their Gallantry in Rescuing the Passengers from the Wreck of the Steamer San Francisco. January 1854." (2).
