An American sterling silver dinner service for twelve Gorham Mfg. Co., Providence, RI, 20th century
In the 'Versailles' pattern, comprising twenty-four teaspoons; twelve each dinner forks, luncheon forks, salad forks, oyster forks, dinner knives, luncheon knives, butter knives, soup spoons, cream soup spoons, demitasse spoons, and dessert spoons; a five-piece carving set; two each serving forks, gravy ladles, berry spoons, and master butter knives; and one each vegetable spoon, large ladle, cake server, cold meat fork, sugar tongs, sandwich tongs, slatted serving spoon, cheese knife, cheese scoop, ice cream slice, tea strainer, jelly spoon, sugar spoon, olive spoon, and lemon fork; some with monogram "MGB" and with various other monograms, and sold in original oak presentation case monogrammed "MGB."
