A Napoleon III gilt and patinated bronze figural mantel clock third quarter 19th century
In the style of Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse (French, 1824-1887), depicting a classical maiden seated atop a rock at water's edge with overturned water basin, the wreathed gilt-bronze engine-turned dial with black enamel Roman numerals; the eight-day movement with original silk suspension, now torn, the backplate impressed "98/St."
