Lot Description

Needlework sampler Worked by Sarah Haines (1795-1832), possibly Westtown School, dated

1805 Worked with silk threads on a linen ground, unframed, accompanied by a hand-written note, "Grand-mother gave this sampler when I was a girl" and "Sarah Collins nee Haines sampler-she was G. Moon's sister. A.M.R [Anna Moon Randolph]"; together with two spot worked unframed samplers, one worked in wool.
