Gold, ivory and hairwork double-sided miniature Probably England, late 18th/early 19th century
The one side with watercolor on ivory miniature portrait of a woman, once believed to be a member of the Caspar Wistar Morris family; the other, with mourning scene painted with woman resting winged cherub on her knee beside raised plinth heightened with seed pearls, braided hair surround, both sides seemingly unmarked.
