Lot Description

Two gold and enamel mourning band rings Probably England, dated 1728 and 1821

The first, inscribed, "THE RT: HON: LDY: A. C. OB: 12.SEP: 1728. AE: 48," against black enamel ground, seemingly unmarked, in dark brown leather case; the second, with inscription, "JOHN. WILLS. STEPHENS. DIED. 7. FEB: 1821. AGED. 69," against black enamel ground, inside band with hallmarks, including 18k mark and maker's mark: "IB."
