Lot Description

Engraved silver masonic medal or mark jewel Connecticut, late 18th century

Of shield-shape, the one side engraved, "DARIUS HIGGINS FRANKLIN CHAP./ NO. 2/ NEW HAVEN beneath sun; the other side with central roundel with lamb enclosed by the initials, "H T W S S T K S"; together with an engraved oval silver pendant with crimped edge, dated 1795, depicting figure holding a flowing textile, flanked by shears and a carding comb, inscribed, "H. G. Kinner," suspended from coral beaded strands, both seemingly unmarked.
