A rare Chinese silk and gold-embroidered figured brown silk formal court robe, chaofu late qing dynasty
The brown silk woven in a Ming-style scrolled-cloud pattern, embroidered with five-clawed dragons, colorful crashing waves, scrolled "ruyi" clouds, and auspicious symbols. With a red ink three-character inscription inside the neck: "Xiang Huang Qi" also known as "Bordered Yellow Banner."
