Lot Description
Group of Navajo painted wood items 20th century
Comprising a pair of bookends, each with carved and painted geometric motif; a bowl raised on three circular feet, the well painted with figures; three painted and decorated plates: one with lizards and figures, signed to underside, "Albert Slinky Navajo"; another with figures, signed to underside, "Bern Harvey...Fort Defiance Ariz."; and the third, with central, profile portrait of man in headdress, signed to underside, "Kee Cohoe; and a handled tray decorated with figures, signed to underside, "Edward J"; together with a wood plate with gouged well and carved abstract geometric designs along rim and a "Navajo Design," gouache on cardboard, by Albert Slinkey (Grade 7), St. Michael's.
