Lot Description

A group of four Chinese peach pit carvings

two carefully carved as elaborate boats, both inscribed with the poem 'qian chi bi fu', one signed 'gu sheng lao ren zuo' by Zhan Jusheng (1802-1876) dated jia wu cyclical year (possibly 1834); and the other signed with 'yi quan'; the third carved with scholar and his attendant under a pine tree; the fourth carved as Zhongkui on a rockwork base.
