Lacking p. 3 - 6, top fore edge portion of p. 39/40 torn away - with losses to head lines and to about 10 words in the top 4 lines of text, p. 7/8 bound in front of the title page, title page trimmed, toned and a little chipped at top but retaining wide margins, other leaves not trimmed, some dampstaining to blank bottom fore edge corners of p. (2), 7 - 40. Sold with all faults. Housed in custom chemise. General Pepperell's account of his successful command of the siege of Louisbourg, for which he was made the first American-born baronet.
