Gilt-illuminated ca. 15th-century (or earlier) antiphonal leaf over boards, gilt title upper spine (in Greek) "Epist(olai) Philosoph(on)", gilt "1499" partially obscured on tail; some soiling (especially at joints and back panel), chipping and minor loss of vellum at edges, splits owing to desiccation at front panel upper hinge (7cm) and lower hinges (2cm) not affecting boards or soundness. Vestigial cataloger's fore-edge titles in brown ink, toned, shelf-marked "epistolae diversoru(m)", "(apud Aldum, Musurus edidit)." Modern re-casing, modern end-papers. Internally bright, crisp; most gatherings likely washed (but compare in contrast browning at Part I gathering "zeta"). Gilt-illuminated chapter headings. 26 lines text 148mm x 100mm.
