Small 8vo, original green cloth; corners and spine ends rubbed, other light edge wear, dust jacket (small chips at corners, chip 10 x 15 mm at top of front panel near spine panel, small paper losses at spine panel ends, spine panel joints often rubbed, minor wear to front flap joint - no losses to lettering or design elements. Slight stress to front hinge. Internally clean. Fenwick A10a. * Nineteen Eighty-Four. A Novel. London: Secker & Warburg, 1949. First edition, first printing. Small 8vo, original green cloth, top edge stained red; edges of covers and spine ends scuffed and turning brown, other scattered light scuffing to covers, dust jacket (minor edge wear), green variant. Light foxing to endpapers and fore edges. Early owner's ink gift presentation dated, "26. 7. 49" on front free endpaper recto. Fenwick A12a (green dust jacket state).
Both together in custom cloth clam shell box.
