A near pair of George III style ormolu mounted mahogany and satinwood pedestals late 19th century, in the style of Benjamin Vulliamy
With square africano marble cornice above a frieze mounted with urn and swag ormolu appliqués supported by two tapering square columns terminating in Ionic capitals; the dado centered by an ormolu medallion depicting Orion and Sirius above an ormolu banded mahogany panel; the whole raised on ormolu banded stepped plinth.
