Lot Description

Pair of Louis XVI style ormolu four-light candelabra Alfred Beurdeley (French, 1847-1919), circa 1880

Each in the form of a winged nymph holding aloft a grapevine-wrapped central standard terminating in pinecone finial and issuing four scrolling candlearms with festooned nozzles, above a cartouche-form base centered by jasperware medallions to front and back, raised on toupie feet; one with incised "BY" to the underside of nymph. (2).
